Araceli's journey in the field of Intellectual Property commenced during her law degree studies when she actively engaged in the Permanent Seminar on Intellectual Property hosted by the Instituto de Investigaciones Jurídicas at UNAM.
Over the course of a decade, Araceli has developed her expertise in this field, beginning her career at the Mexican Institute of Copyright within the Copyright Protection Direction. During her work there she played had the opportunity of participating in negotiating the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement and in the addressing infringement matters.
Transitioning to a specialized firm in Mexico City, Araceli assumed the position of Head of the Trademark Department. In this capacity, she worked mainly in trademark and copyright prosecution, diligently managing Madrid Protocol files and overseeing maintenance tasks.
Her expertise is focused on to aiding international clients across diverse sectors, notably in the retail and technology domains, to secure registrations by adeptly addressing objections and requirements set forth by the Mexican Trademark Office. Furthermore, Araceli's insight in crafting effective legal strategies, including negotiation tactics with counterparties, has consistently yielded favorable outcomes for her clients.
